It is the way he lived, the lives he touched, the promises he kept. It is the kind of man he was. He leaves behind an example for others to always be kind and caring, the way people "should be," as he would say. Gregg graduated from Teague High School in 1980. He majored in geology at Sam Houston State University. He served as production manager and geologist for Fulton Oil & Gas Company, located in Marshall, Texas, for the last 10 years. He was the co-founder of the Fulton-Forgotson Petit Oil Field in Smith County, Texas, from which 400,000 barrels of crude oil has been produced to date. He was also instrumental in expanding the family production in the Overton Cotton Valley Gas Field in Smith County, as well as the Henderson Southwest and Minden Cotton Valley Gas Fields in Rusk County. Before moving to east Texas to work with his father, Gregg worked for Envirotest in Houston. Gregg's passions were family and golf. His latest endeavors included helping his father design a 15-acre lake, as well as a six- hole golf course for his children on family land. Gregg loved being out on his grandfather's land hunting and fishing and just spending time with his Grandad Knight. He is survived by his wife of 15-1/2 years, Jennifer; their children, Shane and Brooke, 14, and Joey, 9; his mother, Lynda Benton, of Teague; father, Ken Fulton and step-mother, Carolyn, of Marshall; sister, Terri Collins, of Teague; grandparents, Kimble and Robbie Knight, of Teague; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Patsy Eddleman, of Baytown, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Cause of death: Kidney cancer. Arrangements by Rick-Bowers Funeral Home, Teague, Texas.
