J. C. Gann, Jr.

J. C. Gann, Jr., 62, of Fairfield, passed away January 15, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. 
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Blair-Stubbs 
Chapel.

J. C. was born September 4, 1951 in Teague, Texas to J. C. and Edna Wells Gann. 
He retired from TDCJ after many years as a Lieutenant of Correction Officers. He 
served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. J. C. was a longtime 
member of the Masonic Lodge of Tennessee Colony. 

His favorite past times consisted of road trips, geology, paleontology, listening 
to Blues music and learning anything that pertained to the history of Texas. 

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Marie Gann of Littleton, CO and Betty Jane 
Gann of Marietta, GA; brother, Mike Gann of Mexia; and half-sister, Carolyn 
Boone of Hernando, MS.
