Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Teague Chronicle May 24, 2007 issue WILL ADAIR GILLHAM Mr. Will Adair Gillham, 88, of Mexia, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2007, in Temple, Texas. Mr. Gillham was born on November 27, 1918 in Muleshoe, Texas to William Albert and Mary Elizabeth Stone Gillham. Mr. Gillham served his country in World War II in the United States Army. He was in the Pacific Theater during the war and later was a market manager for the Safeway food store. Mr. Gillham made friends very easily and was loved by all who knew him. He was also very fond of fishing and was reported to have been able to catch fish when no one else could. Mr. Gillham was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Delores Gillham and by one brother and three sisters. Mr. Gillham is survived by his wife Annie Lucille Lewis Gillham, his children Linda Gillham Dodson of Mexia and Chance Gillham of Lubbock, his grandchildren Jon Anthony Kjos of New York, Rodney Gillham of Houston, Raquel McCarty of Lubbock, Jeffrey Dizmon of Riverside, California, Casey Gillham of Lubbock and Jessica Gillham of Lubbock. He is also survived by his great granddaughter Taylor Gillham of Houston and by his sister Velma Wilson of Lubbock. Many nieces and nephews also survive him. A memorial service for Mr. Gillham was held on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., at the Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel. Family received visitors at their home located at 200 LCR 409 after the memorial service.
