Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Charles "Chuck" Clark Gilliam July 23, 1958 - March 8, 2025 Funeral services for Chuck Gilliam were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Rev. Robert Besser officiated. Interment followed the services at Salem Cemetery near Freestone. Charles "Chuck" Clark Gilliam, passed away peacefully at his home in Spring, Texas, on March 8, 2025, at the age of 66. He was born on July 23, 1958, in Teague, Texas, Chuck spent his life caring about his true loves: his family, fishing, football and Astros baseball. He worked for over forty years a gas controller, retiring from Enbridge in 2020 to dedicate more time to his family and his love for camping. Chuck had a remarkable ability to connect with people. He never met a stranger and always knew how to show someone he cared. Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Ray Gilliam; his mother, Emma Lou Gilliam; his wife, Sheila Faith Gilliam; and his son, Charles Gilliam Jr. He is survived by his brother, Steve Gilliam & sister-in-law, Connie Gilliam; his sister, Ginger Gilmer; his children, Michelle Gilliam-Garcia and Andres Garcia, Christian Storm Gilliam, and Jordan Faith Czichos; as well as his grandchildren, Alexander Brooks, Carlos Garcia, Andres Garcia-Gilliam, Genesis Garcia-Gilliam, Kace Gilliam, and Ella Garcia-Gilliam.
