Mexia Daily News - Feb. 20, 2004 edition Savannah Blakely Glasco TEAGUE - Funeral services for Mrs. Savannah Blakely Glasco, 87, of Teague, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock in Moore's Angelic Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be the Reverends Bill Burton and the Stanley Johnson of Gibson Chapel and Grove Island AME Church. Burial will be in Grove Island Cemetery. Mrs. Glasco, who died Saturday, Feb. 14, at Mexia Nursing Home, was born April 25, 1916, in Freestone County, and was a retired Housekeeper. She was a member of Gibson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church and the Grand Order of the Help Benevolent Society. Surviving are two sons, Joe Willie Glasco of Inglewood, California, Don Ree Glasco and wife Allene of Dallas, Jimmy Roy Glasco of Dallas, Anthony Dwight Glasco and wife Tonya of Kansas City, Missouri; three daughters, Jessie and husband Will of Lancaster, Dorthenia and husband Johnny of Teague, and Lois Jean of Teague; 23 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren; a special niece, Nell Blakely of Teague; a special friend and caregiver, Bobbie Jean Plummer of Teague; other nieces, nephews and relatives. Pallbearers are Don Glasco, Jr., Darrell Glasco, Sr., Gary Felton, Frederick Russell Glasco, Jimmy Glasco, Jr., and Anthony K.L.. Glasco.
