Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Jessie James Glasco (Jul. 24, 1906 - Jun. 8, 1973) Mexia Daily News - June 11, 1973 issue - Page: 2 Funeral Set For Teague Man Wednesday Funeral services for Jessie James Glasco of Route 1, Teague, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Grove Island A.M.E. Church in the Grove Island community. The Rev. A.B. Baker of Grove Island A.M.E. Church will officiate. Burial will be in Grove Island Cemetery. Mr. Glasco was a native of Freestone County, where he lived most of his life. He was a carpenter and a member of the Church of the Living God. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Savannah V. Glasco, of Route 1, Teague; three daughters, Mrs. Jessie Mae Armstead of Jacksonville, N.C., Mrs. Dorthenia Johnson and Lois Jean Armstead, both of Dallas; four sons, Joe Wallace Luckie of Los Angeles, Calif., Don Ree Glasco and Anthony Dwight Glasco, both of Dallas, and Jimmy Roy Glasco of Fort Hood; two sisters, Mrs. Polly Lewis of Route 1, Teague and Mrs. Eurek Pelton of Teague; four brothers, Lee Roy Glasco of Phoenix, Ariz., Fred Glasco and Wardell Glasco, both of Dllas, and William Glasco of Fort Worth; 16 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Dorsey-Keatts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
