(Bill) Glazener (February 16, 1927 - January 7, 2007) Funeral services for Mr. Bill Glazener were held Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jerry Anderson officiated. Interment followed at the Dew Cemetery. Mr. Glazener passed away January 7, 2007 at his residence in Dew. Mr. Glazener was a longtime cattle rancher. Together with his wife, he owned and operated a bookkeeping serive in Teague for forty years and was involoved in numerous community activities and organizations. He also was the tax collector for Teague I.S.D. for many years. He was a faithful member of the Dew Methodist Church for over fifty years and was involved in numerous Church activities. He is survived by his wife Bobbe Glazener of Dew; three daughters, Karen Boyd & husband Steve, Kit Devine, and Kathy Copeland & husband Frank all of Palestine; five grandchildren, Russell Boyd and Will Boyd of Austin, Kimberly Devine of Conroe, Mandy Goodyn of Houston, and Adam Copeland of Ft. Mr. Glazener was born on February 16, 1927, in Bryan, Texas and passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2007, at his residence in Dew, Texas. He was an active member of the Dew Methodist Church for approximately 50 years. Mr. Glazener was the Teague School Tax Collector for numerous years, he loved people and was a longtime cattle rancher. He and his wife Bobbe had a bookkeeping service in town for over forty years. Bill and Bobbe had been married sixty years on December 22, 2006. Pallbearers for Mr. Glazener were Russell Boyd, Will Boyd, Adam Copeland, Tony Hernandez, Scott Holmes and Danny Clyde Turner. He is survived by his wife Bobbe Glazener of Dew and their daughters Karen Boyd and husband Steve, Kit Devine and Kathy Copeland and husband Frank, all of Palestine. His grandchildren Russell Boyd and Will Boyd of Austin, Kimberly Devine of Conroe, Mandy Goodyn of Houston and Adam Copeland of Ft. Worth, four great grandchildren, his sisters Joy Moncrief of Athens, GA, Dell Byrd of Hillsboro, Rey Barton and husband Bob of Dallas and Anne Glazener of Paris, France, his brothers George Glazener and wife Nicky of Plano and Francois Glazener of Paris, France, and close family friends the McAdams family and the Tony Hernandez family also survive Mr. Glazener.
