Grace M. Beene

Funeral services were held September 20 in Teague for Grace Miller Beene, 80,
of Teague who died September 18 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Beene was born September 5, 1915 in Freestone county to Ada and John
Miller.  She was a retired sales clerk for Peyton Brothers Dry Goods store, and
had lived in Teague all of her life.  She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Services were conducted at 11 a.m. at Ricks Funeral Home Chapel, with L. Roy
Cooper officiating, assisted by Rev. Jack Comer.  Burial was at Union Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joe Terry Shelton, Dennis Miller, Elmer Beene, Jr., Billie M.
Beene, Joe Rogers, Sam Pipkin, Billy Jim Day and William Lee Hester.

Mrs. Beene is survived by her husband, Ernest Beene of Teague; one brother, J.
D. Miller of Baytown; an uncle, Carl Strother of Victoria; and several nieces
and nephews.

Arrangements were made by Ricks Funeral Home in Teague.
