The Teague Chronicle - Feb. 14, 1919 edition Grandpa Goodner On Jan. 7 after five days illness with influenza grandpa Goodna (sic) left this life for his home beyond. He was 82 years of age and was born and raised in Hardin county, Tennessee. He was an engineer on the Memphis and Charleston railroad for a number of years and gave up the work on account of failing eyesight. He came to this county 25 years ago and has resided here every since. For a number of years he has made his home with his only living child, Mrs. W. B. Driver and he will sadly be missed in that home. The writer very much enjoyed hearing grandpa talk of old times, but the old times talk will soon be a thing of the past for the old folks are fast disappearing from the action of life. A friend
