MADISONVILLE - Services for Verdis Lavesta Goolsby, 93, of Madisonville are set
for 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Teague.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. A prayer service will be held at 5 p.m.
Monday at J.M. Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville.

Mrs. Goolsby died Friday at Riverwood Healthcare Center. She was employed many
years as office manager of Ham-Lawerence Brother's Funeral Home (now
Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home).

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick F. and Diane Goolsby of
Richmond, Va.; a daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Billy Hendrix of
Madisonville; a sister-in-law, Ruby Jolly of Navasota; five grandchildren; and
10 great-grandchildren.
