WANDA GORDON

A private burial for Mrs. Wanda Gordon, 80, was held on Sunday, August 9, 2009,
after an August 8th visitation at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague, Texas.

Wanda was born in Teague and graduated from Teague High School. Mrs. Gordon 
worked as a commercial bank teller for forty-seven years in Houston, Texas 
before returning to Teague in 1995. She was also a dedicated homemaker for over
forty-seven years to her husband Henry Gordon. Mrs. Gordon had lived with her
daughter since her husband's death in 1997. She passed away on Thursday, August
6, 2009, at the Mexia Nursing Home.

Mrs. Gordon is survived by her daughter Shelley Cochrum; her granddaughters 
Natalie Stephenson and Courtney Cochrum; her grandson Travis Cochrum; her great
grandson Logan Calverley; her brother Wesley Shelley all of Teague.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Gertrude Lamberth Shelley
and her husband Henry Gordon.

Wanda (Shelley) Gordon  

A private burial was held Sunday for Mrs. Wanda Gordon, 80, who died Aug. 6 at Mexia 
Nursing Home. Visitation was held Saturday at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. 
Mrs. Gordon was born in Teague and graduated from Teague high school. She worked as 
a commercial bank teller in Houston for 47 years, returning to Teague in 1995. 
Married to Henry Gordon for 47 years, Mrs. Gordon had lived with her daughter since 
her husband's death in 1997. 
Survivers are daughter, Shelley Cochrum; two granddaughters, Natalie Stephenson and 
Courtney Cochrum; one grandson, Travis Cochrum; one greatgrandson, Logan Calverley; 
and one brother, Wesley Shelley, all of Teague. Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by 
her parents, Jack and Gertrude Lamberth Shelley; and her husband, Henry Gordon.
