Gordon of Teague died in a Teague hospital Tuesday night following an illness of two or three weeks. Funeral services were held from Ham's Chapel in Teague Wednesday afternoon. Burial followed at the Fairfield Cemetery. Mrs. Gordon was the former Miss Bennie Sandifer and was born and reared in Fairfield . She was the widow of the late Dr. J. B. Gordon of Teague. Survivors include one son, Lucian Gordon of Teague, and one sister, Mrs. W. H. Gordon, Pioneer Resident; Is Buried In Teague (Newspaper Error on Burial Place) Funeral services were held at Ham Brothers chapel Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock for Mrs. J. B. Gordon, lifelong resident of Freestone county who died in the Teague city hospital Tuesday night at 11:45 after a short illness. The services were conducted by the Rev. William A. Casseday, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. Burial was in the Fairfield cemetery with the Ham Brothers Funeral Home directing arrangements. Nephews and other members of the family served as pallbearers. Mrs. Gordon, widow of the late Dr. J. B. Gordon who died in 1927, was born in Fairfield where she lived until moving to Teague in 1909. Prior to her marriage she was Miss Bennie Sandifer. Mrs. Gordon, a member of the First Presbyterian church, is survived by one son, J. Lucian Gordon, Teague; one sister, Mrs. W. H. Miller of Fairfield , and the following nieces and nephews: Mrs. Tom Lindley and Miss Viola Miller, both of Fairfield ; Mrs. Fred Doering, Kerrville ; Mrs. Milton Hampton, Itasca ; Mrs. Anne McKeown, Athens; Miss Leila Campbell, Gladewater; Mrs. Norman Brown, Dallas; Mrs. Lucas, Dallas; J. C. Sandifer, Bryan; Lucian Sandifer, Houston and Edward Campbell, Greenville. A daughter, Miss Mary Gordon, preceded her mother in death in 1923.
