DIED--Mrs. Gordon, wife of Mr. H. M. Gordon, living a few miles north east of 
town, died on last Friday night the 30th ult., of congestion. The deceased was 
formerly Miss Mattie Lee, and was about 30 years old. She left besides a husband 
to mourn her loss, three children the youngest being 2 years old. Her remains 
were interred in Fairfield Cemetery last Saturday evening. Mr. Gordon has the 
sympathies of many in his sore bereavement.

Rob. Gordon, Esq., of Groesbeck came over last week to attend the funeral of his 
daughter in law, Mrs. H. M. Gordon. He returned home Monday and took the 2 
youngest children with him.
