Louis C. Grant

Louis C. Grant, 90, of Corsicana passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at
Navarro Regional Hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. today at First Independent Baptist Church with the Rev.
L.L. Polk officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hall Cemetery in
Winkler.

Mr. Grant was born Jan. 27, 1913, in Freestone County. He was a retired farmer
and retired from the Wolf Brand Chili plant. He was a member of Second Mission
Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, three brothers; four
sons, Edward James, Leroy, Benjamin and John L. Grant; and grandson, Little
Eddie Chambers.

Survivors include his wife, Pearlie Mae; seven daughters, Doris (George) of
Fort Worth, Gladys (Curtis), Catherine (B.T.), Alice (Mike), and Diann
(Elbert), all of Corsicana, Tommie Jean (Nolon) of Clarksville, and Mary Grant
Sheppard of Dallas; two sons, Bennie Ray Grant and Fred Grant, both of
Corsicana; daughter-in-law, Helen Grant of Corsicana; one brother, Edward Grant
(Mary) of Streetman; 30 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren,
nieces, nephews and other relatives.
