John Louis Grant Jr.

John Louis Grant Jr., 62, of Corsicana passed away Sunday, May 5, 2002 at
Navarro Regional Hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at First Independent Baptist Church with the
Rev. Charles Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hall Cemetery
in Winkler.

Pallbearers will be B.T. Armstrong, Billy Chambers, Elbert Kelly, Melvin
Bryant, Robert Louis Bryant, Edward Grant Jr. and Jeffery Baxter. Honorary
pallbearers will be John Earl Jennings, James Earl Blanford, Scottie Grant,
Jerry Grant, Quinton Turner, Charles Grant and Jamie Grant.

Mr. Grant was born May 12, 1939 in Winkler.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Leroy and Benjamin Grant.

Survivors include his parents, John Louis C. Grant Sr. and Pearlie Mae Packer
Grant; brothers, Edward James Grant, Bennie Ray Grant and Fred Grant, all of
Corsicana; sisters, Gladys Blanford, Catherine Chambers, Alice Chambers and
Diann Kelly, all of Corsicana, Doris Kennedy of Fort Worth, Mary Grant Sheppard
of Dallas and Tommie Jean Woods of Clarksville; uncle and aunt, Edward Grant
Sr. and Mary Grant of Streetman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
including special brother-in-law Elbert Kelly.
