Leslie was born on March 12, 1918 in Winkler, to his parents Leslie and Alice Grayson. He was employed by the Coca Cola Bottling Company for 43 years, both in Galveston and Corsicana, retiring as a Plant Manager. He was a long time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, serving the European Theater of Operations in the United States Army as a Military Policeman. A funeral service will be held at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Lain Teel and Rev. B.F. Risinger officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday Nov. 6, 2006 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Leslie J. and Becky Grayson of Corsicana; son Bobby H. Grayson of New York City; and his step-daughter Becky Fahlsing of Corsicana; grandsons, Lane Grayson of Ennis and Rusty Grayson of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Blake, Sam, Drew, Olivia, Kate and Mia Grayson; sister Dorothy Magner of Richardson; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his sons, Opal “Boadie” Burney Grayson in 1994, and his second wife Evelyn Lewis Grayson in 2005.
