Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Mrs. Pinkie Lee Green The Angelic Hosts came for Mrs. Pinkie Lee Green, 83, on Saturday, February 8, 2014 in the Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fairfield, Texas among loving family and devoted friends. Funeral Services were at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 700 IH 45, Fairfield, Texas with Rev. Michael Daniels, Pastor, True Vine DOXA Center, officiating and Rev. C. W. Anderson serving as eulogist. Interment followed at Pine Top Cemetery in Oakwood, Texas. Pinkie Lee Green was the fourth child born to T.J. Turner and Dollie Gibson Turner on March 27, 1930 in the Butler Community of Freestone County, Texas where she grew up and attended the public schools. She was baptized in the Youngs Mills Church at an early age. Pinkie was married Paul Coleman and Arnestia “Ted” Green. She was employed by the Fairfield Hospital and retired from Mexia State School in 1989. Mrs. Green held membership in Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was involved in Sunday School. Pinkie had a passion for fishing from sun up to sun down. She will best be remembered for saying exactly what was on her mind. She was preceded in death by: her parents; 4 brothers: Elbert Turner, T. J. Turner, Jr., Leon Turner, and Marvin Turner; her husbands; and her daughter: Pauline Coleman. Those left to cherish her memory most are: her daughters: Glenda Coleman, Fairfield, TX; Kathy Elaine Coleman and husband Ervin, Plano, TX; and Lashun Randle and husband Keith, Fairfield, TX; her sisters: Effie Davis, Fairfield, TX; Lela Haynes and husband Willie, and Margie Mims, all of Dallas, TX; Gloria Blair and husband Rev. Wendell Blair, Dallas, TX; her aunt: Laura Woodard, Dallas, TX; her uncle: Berry Allen and wife Lillian, Dallas, TX; her grandchildren: Marcus O’Brien Shed and wife Tasha, and Gregory Sean Randle; her great grandchildren: Mylan Shed, Mychal Shed, Noah Shed, and Brendyn Shed; her pets: her dogs, Benji, Missy, and Skip; and her cat, Blackie; and a host of family and friends.
