James Wallace Gregory James Wallace Gregory, 77, of Streetman passed away Thursday, July 4, 2002 at his residence. Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel in Fairfield with Brother Wayne Mahoney and the Rev. Bob Gregory officiating. Interment will follow at Birdston Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eddie Gregory, Jerry Gass, Pat Glasco, James Small, Bill Newsom and Elzie Ware. Mr. Gregory was born March 22, 1925 in Streetman. He was a member and a deacon of First Baptist Church in Streetman. He was with the Freestone County Sheriff's Office for seven years, the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association for 21 years as a special Texas Ranger and field inspector. He was preceded in death by parents Charles Everett and Julia Garrett Gregory, brothers Carlton Gregory, Joe Troyce Gregory and Willard Gregory. Mr. Gregory is survived by wife Emily Sue Gregory of Streetman; sons Stanley Gregory and wife Sally and Jimmy Gregory, all of Fairfield; daughter Renee Ranson and husband W. C. of Streetman; grandchildren Kasi and Greg Williamson of Fort Worth, Kelly and Brandon Lewis of Teague and Paige Ranson and Lyndsey Ranson, both of Streetman; great-grandchild Gregory Williamson of Fort Worth; brother Rev. Bob Gregory and wife Chaney of Columbus; sisters-in-law Spring Johnson and husband Tom of Wortham and Bonnie Gregory of Corsicana; brothers-in-law Rudy Miller and wife Cynthia and K.W. Oliver and wife Kathy, all of Wortham; mother-in-law Clara Miller Posey of Wortham; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Arrangements by Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield.
