Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Mary Ruth Bigham Hamilton Gross Mary Ruth Bingham Hamilton Gross was born on September 10, 1963 to Emmett B. Bingham and Johnnie B. (Lee) Bingham in Palestine, Texas. Mary attended early school years in Splendora, Texas, but later attended school in Fairfield, Texas, where she married and started a family. Mary later moved to the Woodlands where she worked and was raising her four children. On June 3, 2013, Mary lost her battle with cancer. She left her family and friends here on earth to join her family in heaven. Mary will be greeted with open arms by her son Eric Hamilton and her daddy, Emmett, older sister, Jean, and niece, Cheir, and both sets of loving grandparents. “Mary, there are never enough words to tell you how much we loved you and will miss you. You gave it all you had and more. Every day, you gave us your beautiful smile and showed us your gift of finding peace and strength,” wrote family members. Mary leaves behind her daughter, Danae N. Harper and son-in-law, Erick Harper of Dallas, Texas; son, Christopher Hamilton of Houston, Texas; daughter Alice Hamilton of the Woodlands; mother, Johnnie B. Hoce; brother, Jonnie R. Martin; sister, Rene Dee Eriven and brother-in-law Tom Eriven; sister, Melinda Kay Sandford, all of Fairfield; brother, Emmett B. Bingham and wife Debbie of Slendora; sister, Annette Marie Bingham Wherton and brother-in-law, Glen Wherton of Woodlands, Texas. She also leaves behind 13 nieces and nephews; 17 grand nieces and nephews. “Mary, you have left us here on earth, but you will always be in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you and our family that waits there with you, until one day we’re all together again.”
