He was born in Dallas, Texas on March 5, 1948 to Richard Halford and Mildred Rankin Halford. Bennie worked for the City of Dallas Water Department for 29 years as an equipment operator. One of his favorite hobbies was fishing and doing anything that required him being outdoors. Survivors include his wife Sabra Halford of Butler. Children: Millie Council and husband Jeff of Kaufman, Stephanie Harrison and husband Phillip of Kaufman, Richard Halford and wife Cassie of Kaufman, Kenneth Brobst of Denver, Colorado, Angela Jones and husband Patrick of Jacksonville, and Howard Danner and wife Brandi of Fairfield. Ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Sister: Linda Armstrong of Alvord. Visitation was Friday May 8, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield. Graveside services were held on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Dew Cemetery in Dew, Texas with Bro. Mr. Halford was born in Dallas on March 5, 1948 to Richard Halford and Mildred Rankin Halford. For 29 years, he was employed as an equipment operator with the City of Dallas water department. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Services were held at Dew Cemetery on May 9 with David Hallum officiating.
