Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Gaylon Hall October 17, 1940 - May 27, 2021 Graveside services for Gaylon Hall were held on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at 3:30 p.m. at Post Oak Cemetery near Donie. Mr. Don Jones officiated. Mr. Hall passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at his residence in Teague and was greeted in heaven by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Ruth Alldredge Hall, whom he shared sixty-one years with, until being separated by her death on May 13, 2020. He was born in Donie on October 17, 1940, to Walter & Anna Bell Hall. Gaylon was a lover of fishing, camping, and all things outdoors. He could worry a fire like no other. Gaylon worked for the BNSF Railroad in Teague as a Conductor and was known as “General Electric” to his fellow railroad men. He shared his knowledge of the trade with many along the way until retiring after thirty-five years. Though, even after retirement, he would still find his way to the yard office for coffee and the “railroad rundown”. Gaylon’s love of meeting new people extended to Teague’s community, which he called home. He served his community in many ways from working elections, to making himself an unofficial “Teague Fire Dept. Volunteer”. He enjoyed staying busy within the community whenever possible. He is survived by three sons, Lynn Hall & wife Ronda of Ennis, Russell Hall of Teague, and Wesley Hall & wife Melissa of Mont Belvieu; six grandchildren, Deidra Hall of Ennis, Timothy Hall & wife Brittney of Teague, Diane Hall of Ennis, Jeffery Fogle of Grapeland, Ronnie Fogle & wife Connie of Bremerton, Washington, and Emily Hall of Mont Belvieu; eight great-grandchildren, Austin Mason, Krysten Hall, Caleb Hall, Bailey Young, Maddox Hall, Ainsley Hall, Briley Hall, and Charley Hall; one brother, Walter Lane Hall of Teague; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
