Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Teague Chronicle - April 5 ROBERTA HALL Ms. Roberta Hall, a resident of Mexia, Texas for over 35 years, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2007, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia, Texas. She was 69 years old. Ms. Hall was born on November 12, 1937, in Limestone County, Texas. Mother Hall worked for Mexia State School where she made many friends and touched many lives. Those who knew her also knew of her strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She retired after 20+ years of service. Mother Hall confessed a hope in Christ at a young age. She was one of the founding members of Salvation Lighthouse Church of God In Christ, Mexia, Texas, under the ministry of Elder Leander Cameron. She was a faithful member and prayer warrior in the church. She was also a gifted teacher and for many years taught Sunday school and Bible Band. Mother Hall was the president of the Mexia- East District Mother's Board and mother of her church until her passing. Funeral services for Ms. Hall were held at Greater Haynes Memorial Church of God In Christ in Mexia. Superintendent L.J. Manning, Pastor of Salvation Lighthouse Church of God In Christ, served as Eulogist. Interment was at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Ms. Hall is survived by her son Ruzy Hall, Jr. of Houston, her daughter Regina Hall Noble and husband Jerry of Austin, her sisters Vastine Melton of Fort Worth, Betty Joe Pervis and husband Dempsy of Houston, Alnita Hall of Mexia and Helen Sims of Fort Worth, her uncles Rev. Jewel Grandberry of Fort Worth, Rev. Clarence Grandberry of Fort Worth and Odell Grandberry of Killeen. Her grandchildren Bobby "Bobcat" Chandler, Randy "Tandy" Chandler and Devin "Wevin" Chandler, her ex- husband, Rev. Ruzy Hall, Sr. of Mexia, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive Ms. Hall. Casket bearers were Bro. Donald Gillian, Minister Gregory Horn, Bro. Chase Gillian, Bro. Donald Mickins, Bro. Victor Harrison and Bro. Justin Williams. Moore's Funeral Home of Teague was in charge of the arrangements.
