WORTH, Aug 21 - Drowning claimed two victims Friday about 3 p.m., near the spillway of the new reservoir, H. W. Kendrick and Oscar Ham are dead. Wesley Cleveland, son of Dr. A. M. Cleveland, who was in the river swimming with Kenderick and Ham, narrowly escaped with his life. Kendrick and young Cleveland, who were together, were caught in a suckhole, but did not give an alarm and the boy made a vain effort to save his companion. Ham, who was unconscious of the accident, waded in and young Cleveland's warning to him came too late as he was also caught in the suckhole and drowned, while other members of the party attracted by the boy's cries saved young Cleveland's life. Oscar Ham was a son of Mr. Jeff Ham, of Dew, Freestone Co., and was about 19 years of age.
