Fairfield Recorder - Friday, May 7, 1926 NEGRO DIES SUDDENLY OF INJURY Bill HAMILTON, a negro, about 35, was found by the side of the road Saturday night near Sneed farm, injured by a fall from his horse. He was carried home, South of Fairfield and on Monday, Mr. Ed RILEY went to see him. He having business with the "darkey" and found him suffering a great deal although able to be up part of the time. Mr. RILEY sent for a doctor and was talking to the negro when the doctor arrived at the gate, but receiving no response, Mr. RILEY turned and found HAMILTON dead in a chair.
