Charles Ray Hamlin
April 20, 1940 - May 20, 2021

Graveside services for Charles Ray Hamlin were held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 
2 p.m. at Driver Cemetery near Teague. Rev. Richard Gillet  officiated.

On Thursday morning, May 20, 2021, Charles Ray Hamlin left this earth to be with 
the Lord, and beloved family members and friends who went before him.

Charles Ray Hamlin was born on April 20, 1940 in Teague to Clifford (Sam) Roscoe 
Hamlin and Jewel Aubrey McMahon Hamlin. He had an older sister, Ruby; two older 
brothers, Donald and Daniel; and one younger brother, Sammy.

He is survived by his three children, Paula Gayle Hamlin Tynes, Steven Kelly 
Hamlin, and Susan Elaine Hamlin Freeman & husband Darren; four grandchildren, 
Teresa Tynes & fiancé Clifford Rice, Lorrin Renee Tynes, Michael Wayne Freeman & 
wife Sasha, and Amanda Leigh Freeman; six great-grandchildren, Anthony Dalton 
Haynes, Cameron Chance Haynes, Kailey Elaine Tynes, Rudy Anthony Marquez, Jr., 
Ethan Blake Marquez, and Autumn Renee Marquez; one brother, Sammy Glenn Hamlin; 
one sister-in-law, Doris Hamlin; numerous other relatives and friends.

Mr. Hamlin was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Watson; one daughter, 
Vanessa Lynn Hamlin; one grandson, Dalton Mitchell Tynes; his parents, Clifford 
Roscoe Hamlin and Jewel Aubrey Hamlin; his sister, Ruby Hamlin Miller; and two 
brothers, Donald Hamlin and Clifford Daniel Hamlin.
