Rev. Ella Mae Hampton

MADISONVILLE — Services for the Rev. Ella Mae Hampton, 82, of Madisonville are
set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Madisonville Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry
Pinkard of First Assembly of God Church in Madisonville will officiate. Burial
will be in the Madisonville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday with the family receiving
friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Rev. Hampton died Wednesday in the Madison Care Center.

She was born in Jozye and was a lifelong resident of Madison County. She was a
member of the First Assembly of God in Madisonville and was a minister of this
denomination for about 50 years, having graduated from the Southwestern Bible
College in Waxahachie. She worked at the Daniels Children’s Home in Oakwood and
Fairfield and at the Madisonville Nursing Home.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Vera and Olan Stanley of
Georgetown; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
