Harman, 79, of Donie are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Jewett. The Rev. Walter Pickens will officiate. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery. Mr. Harman died Wednesday at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia. Born in Richards, he was a pipefitter with Exxon and served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Mr. Harman was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Charlene Harman of Donie; a son, Darrell Harman of Onalaska; a stepson, Carlton Gibbs of Donie; four brothers, Thomas Earl Harman of Liberty, Eugene Harman of Baytown, Charlie Harman of Colorado Springs, Colo., and James Harman of Woodville; a sister, Christine Nixon of Huffman; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
