Harris Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 8 at 2 p.m. at Ricks Chapel for H. L. Harris, 59. Reverend Huey Clements of First United Methodist Church officiated. Internment was in Antioch Cemetery. Mr. Harris was born June 6, 1927, in Madisonville, Texas. He was a mechanic for Chevrolet and Ford places in Angleton, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was affiliated with the Methodist church. Mr. Harris died at his residence in Teague on October 5, 1986. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Harris of Angleton, Texas; three daughters: Sherry Bottoms of Teague, Karen Pendergrass, Teague, and Laura Harris, Houston; two sons: Sterling Harris, Lake Jackson, Texas, Robert Harris, Teague; two sisters: Jimmilee Goff of Angleton, Texas, Mary Anne Miles, Angleton; one brother, L. L. Harris, Angleton, Texas, and 10 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Don Stephenson, Gary Sims, Hootie Hall, Jim McAlpine, Danny Henson and Joey Harris.
