Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Jeanelle Bodine Harrison (May 3, 1920 - February 28, 2007) Jeanelle Bodine Harrison Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanelle Harrison were held on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 10:00a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Teague. Rev. Jeff Powers officiated. Interment followed the services at Coolidge City Cemetery in Coolidge. Mrs. Harrison passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. She was born and raised in Coolidge. Her mother died when she was only ten and rather than see her siblings split up to be raised, she took over her mother duties and helped her father raise her younger siblings while successfully finishing school herself. She attended elementary school in Munger before graduating from Coolidge High School. She married Lyndell Harrison during World War II while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force and together they lived in numerous cities and states until returning to Texas in 1975. Mrs. Harrison moved to Teague in 1991 and became involved in numerous activites with the First United Methodist Church where she was a faithful member. She spent many hours volunteering with her Church’s Visitation Ministry, sending cards and visiting nursing home residents and shut-ins. Her family looked forward to the numerous cards, especially birthday cards, she sent to all of them and she never missed any occasion to do so. She loved to travel and had visited Alaska about forty times. She loved to do yard work and really loved her kids and grandchildren. She was a faithful Christian and always put the Lord first in her life. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Pavlas & husband Stan and one son, Terry Harrison & wife Diana all of Anchorage, AK.; two grandchildren, Luke Pavlas of Columbus, OH. and Melissa Pavlas of Anchorage, AK.; four brothers, Durwood Bodine of Richmond, VA., Woodrow Bodine of Corpus Christi, Jay Bodine & wife Shirley of Teague, and Sammie Bodine of Pasadena; one sister, Dorothy Sturm & husband Leo of Sonoma, CA.; step-sister, Evaughn Cox and sister-in-law, Ruby Bodine both of Teague; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends including a special friend, Covey Nash of Teague. Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her husband, Lyndell Harrison; one sister, Daphnie Bodine; one brother, Joe Paul Bodine; two sister-in-laws, Louise Bodine and Lillian Bodine; her father, Sam Bodine; her mother, Lena Bodine; and her step-mother, Mae Bodine. ------------------------------------------------- The Teague Chronicle - March 8, 2007: JEANELLE BODINE HARRISON Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanelle Harrison, 86, were held on Saturday, March 3, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church in Teague, Texas.
