Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Teague Chronicle - November 24, 2011 edition MAXINE LANE HARTLEY Funeral Services for Mrs. Maxine Hartley, 81, were held on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Grace Tabernacle Church in Dew. Bro. Bo David and Bro. Lloyd Lane officiated. Interment followed the service at the Dew Cemetery. Maxine was born on February 26, 1930, to Vernon and Phebie Lane. She was born here and moved to Houston in 1956 until she decided to move back to Teague in 1972. Mrs. Maxine never met a stranger. She worked as a waitress for many years in numerous area restaurants. She enjoyed her job because she could see and work around people. Mrs. Hartley owned M&M Florist across from the Teague General Hospital for almost 10 Years in the 1980's. Mrs. Hartley passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011 at Groesbeck LTC. She was preceded in death by her husband: Millard Hartley; daughters: Marie Hartley Brantner and Mary Hartley Ward; son: James (Bud) Hartley; grandsons: Shannon Brantner and Timothy Boothe. Mrs. Maxine Hartley is survived by her daughter: Ruth Hartley Sandoval and husband J.C. of Teague; son: Millard Lynn Hartley of Temple; grandsons: Carlton Brantner of Teague, Kevin Brantner of Forney, Darryl Usher of Splendora, William Usher of Grangerland, Kenny Usher of Splendora, Jason Sandoval of Humble and Greg Hartley of Magnolia; granddaughters: Lisa Usher Finley of Coolidge and Deanna Gregory of Katy; as well as numerous great and great-great grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren.
