Mexia Daily News - Dec. 17, 2003 edition Clyde Hatcher FAIRFIELD - Funeral services for Clyde Hatcher, 71, of Fairfield, were conducted this morning at 11 o'clock in Mount Zion Baptist Church. The Rev. E.A. Anderson, pastor, and the Rev. Nolan Hightower officiated. Burial was in Fairfield Baptist Cemetery, under direction of Moore's Angelic Funeral Home of Teague. Mr. Hatcher, who died Sunday in East Texas Medical Center-Fairfield, was a retired truck driver from Awalt Trucking Service of Fairfield. Surviving are his wife, Eula Mae Hatcher of Fairfield; his children - Barbara and husband, Billy Betts of Dallas; Douglas Hatcher of Italy, Tx.; Ricky Hatcher and wife Lena of Dallas; Cheryl and husband David Evans of Fairfield; and Rose and husband Donald Yarbrough of Fairfield; three sisters - Letti Johnson of Dallas, Bertha and husband Eugene Thurman, and Perlie Hatcher, all of Fairfield; a brother, Riley Hatcher; an uncle, Willie Gatson; 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
