Killed in the wreck on Wednesday, Oct. 28, was 29- year-old Marcus Hatcher. Department of Public Safety Trooper Kyle Purnell reports that Hatcher was northbound on Texas 75 when his vehicle drifted into the southbound lane of traffic about three-tenths of a mile south of Streetman. The 29-year-old steered abruptly to the right and his car, a 1995 Saturn sedan, spun around and rolled at least one time, coming to rest upside down in trees along the east side of the road. Purnell estimates the wreck occurred about 12:30 a.m., but it was not reported until 9:15 a.m. Hatcher was pronounced dead at the scene by Peace Justice Theresa Farris, precinct one.
