  Dr. R. J. Hatcher died at Baird on the 14th ult.  He was born in South Carolina
in 1820, moved to Texas in 1856, settling in Freestone county where he resided
till about 1887.  He was the father of R. J. Hatcher, formerly of Fairfield.
