JARED RICK HELMCAMP

Funeral services for Jared Rick Helmcamp, 21, were held on Sunday, January 10, 
2010, at the Jewett Civic Center in Jewett, Texas. Bro. Kenneth Stone of Flo 
Baptist Church officiated and Mr. Louis Neyland gave the eulogy. A private
interment followed the services at Helmcamp Family Cemetery.

Jared was born on July 6, 1988, in Fairfield, Texas, to Rick and Mitzi Davis 
Helmcamp and grew up in Jewett graduating from the Leon High School with the 
Class of 2007. Jared enjoyed playing team sports and competing in U.I.L. 
academics and events throughout his high school years. He attended Texas A&M 
University and Blinn College and was currently working for the family business, 
A.L. Helmcamp, Inc., while residing in College Station. Jared was an avid 
hunter, fisherman, domino player, and wonderful mentor and friend to all of his
younger cousins who loved him very much. He loved sharing his songs and playing 
guitar with his family and friends and will be remembered for his good and
giving heart and how he made other people laugh. Jared was wonderful at telling
stories and was very proud of his family. Sharing his Christian faith was very
important to him. He passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at St. Joseph's 
Health Center in Bryan, Texas. He will be greatly missed by his family and 
everyone that knew him.

Jared is survived by his loving parents; his sisters Jennifer Henderson and 
husband Judd and Jordan Thomas and husband Chad; his nephews Deacon, Parker and 
Levi, all of Jewett; his maternal grandparents Billy and Bobbie Davis of 
Buffalo; his paternal grandparents Allen and Elaine Helmcamp of Buffalo; his 
high school sweetheart, Rayna Thomas of College Station; numerous aunts, uncles,
cousins and many friends.

Serving as pallbearers were Nathan Watson, Justin Hammond, Clayton Watson, Jake 
Leissner, Matthew Schieffer, Mason Schieffer, Sam Grissett, Jeffery McGee,
Andrew Borman, Brett Borman, Jackson Ward and Jonathan Helmcamp.

At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Jared 
Rick Helmcamp Scholarship Fund at Citizens State Bank of Buffalo, P.O. Box 278, 
Buffalo, TX 75831.
