Robert Melvin Henderson

Robert Melvin Henderson, 89, of Fairfield passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002
at Navarro Regional Hospital.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home
in Fairfield.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Fairfield with the
Rev. Mack Roller officiating. Interment will follow at Cade Cemetery in
Streetman.

Mr. Henderson was born March 24, 1913 to Eddie Hodges Henderson and Katie
Walker Henderson. He was a retired banker and rancher. He was a member of First
Baptist Church in Fairfield and was a mason.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Cooper Henderson; and brother,
Gale Henderson.

Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Henderson of Fairfield; sister-in-law,
Hazel Henderson of Fort Worth; nephews and nieces, Ethel Wilder of Louisa, Va.,
Jackie Cooper Tyus of Dallas, James Carter Cooper of Houston, Donald Cain
Henderson of New Mexico, and Diana Henderson Knuth of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; and
a number of grand-nephews, nieces and cousins.
