Carl Green Henderson

Funeral services were held Saturday for Carl Green Henderson, 86, of Groesbeck 
who died Friday, May 1, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Temple.

Mr. Henderson was born in Razor on Sept. 22, 1922.

He served in the United States Army and was a farmer and handyman in the 
Groesbeck area.

Mr. Henderson was also a member of Groesbeck's Church On The Rock.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, at Church On The Rock with 
pastor Billy Beaver officiating. Interment followed at Lone Star Cemetery in 
Groesbeck with military honors.

Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joanna Henderson; sons, Carl 
and Lea Henderson, Luther and Christie Henderson, and Donald Henderson; 
daughters, Lou Ella Henderson, Aretha and Verdell McDaniel, Etherlean and John 
Richards, Annie and Charles Henderson, Loretta and Danny Dupree, Lori and 
Charlie Cotton, Rosie Marie Henderson and Helen Marie Henderson; brother, Clemon 
Henderson; sister, Lillie E. "Peaches" Walker; 32 grandchildren; and 2 great-
grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of Moore's Angelic Funeral 
Home in Teague.
