Mexia Daily News - Dec. 29, 2004 edition Ross Henson TEAGUE - Funeral services for Mr. Ross Henson, age 74 will be held Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Teague, Texas. Bro. Paul Gauntt of Eighth Ave. Baptist Church will officiate. Mr. Henson passed away December 28, 2004 at East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield. Ross had lived in Teague for sixty-six years and was a member of Eighth Ave. Baptist Church for fifty-two years. He married Janelle Cline on September 24, 1950 and was married for 54 years. He was a mason for over fifty years and Past Master of Boggy Masonic Lodge #739, a Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner. He worked on the railroad for thirty-eight years until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed fishing and really loved to garden and loved to go to gospel singings. He was in the United States Navy and loved to drink coffee at Bond's with h is friends every morning at 5:00 a.m. He is survived by his wife Janell of Teague and three sons; David Henson and wife Deborah of Rowlett, Richard Henson of Teague, Kelly Henson and wife Valerie of Teague and seven grandchildren; Jessica Prouse of College Station, Leah Henson of Nacogdoches, Jessica, Drew, Devon, Dalton, and Leighann Henson and step mother, Bertie Henson all of Teague, four brothers; Joel Henson Jr. of Teague, Robert Henson of Chama, NM, Charles Henson of McGregor, Gary Henson of Irving, two sisters; Flo Corley of Teague and Linda Fick of Franklin and one aunt Joe Lunsford of Teague, Mother-in-law, Georgia Cline of Teague, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Glendon and Peggy Cline of Waco and J.W. and Dana Cline of Jasper, GA. Casket bearers are John Finley, Randy Dickens, Steve Studebaker, Dale Welch, Mark Smith, and Clifford Smith, honorary casketbearers are Norman Watson, Jim Reid, Jerry Maggard and all the retired BRI employees. The family will receive visitors at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
