Freestone County, Texas Obits The Bryan-College Station Eagle Kathryn Kyle Hicks Dec. 3, 1963 — April 20, 2000 Services for Kathryn Kyle Hicks, 36, of College Station are set for 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in College Station. The Rev. Michael Haefer of Holy Cross Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in College Station City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Chapel College Station and from 1 p.m. to the time of the services Monday at the church. Mrs. Hicks died Thursday in Fairfield, Texas. She was born in Bowie, Texas, and had lived in College Station for 10 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and attended Blinn College where she was to graduate in May with a degree in nursing. She was a member of the Future Registered Nursing Club, was president of the Blinn College Nursing Students Association and was the recipient of the Blinn College Nursing Students Association Service Award for 2000. Survivors include her husband, Steven Hicks of College Station; a son, Richard Neal Hicks of College Station; a daughter, Kristen Lynn Hicks of College Station; her parents, Richard and Joyce Watts of Seminole, Texas; and grandmother, Ruth Watts of Vienna, Va.
