Loy Inez Hill

Loy Inez Hill, 89, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008 in Teague.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home with 
Bill Honea officiating. Burial will be at the Prairie Point Cemetery.

She was born De. 18, 1918 to Noel and Ara Alice Strawn Hill in Menolia. She was 
a seamstress and worked at Adams Hat Factory.

She was preceded in death by her parents Nowel and Ara Hill; sisters, Jewel 
Bodiford, Faye Joyce and Val Ree Phillips; brothers, Travis Hill and Johnny 
Hill; and two granddaughters, Diane Darnell and Caroly Hymen.

She is survived by her daughter, Patty Chance and son-in-law Ernest of Teague; 
two sisters, Lela Schlemmer of Corsicana and Marie Lancaster and her husband 
Bob of Kerens; numerous nieces and nephews; three grandchildren, Judy Peters, 
Betty Newsom and husband Gil and Billy Elizonno; and a number of great-
grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
