Fairfield Recorder newspaper - March 1894

  The RECORDER did not learn last week of the death of Mrs. Martha Hill, of 
Rock Spring neighborhood, until after the paper had been published. It was
known to several in town, but no one in our office had heard of it. The 
deceased was the mother of Mrs. Dr. T.F. Young, and of the Hill brothers, Joe,
Fred, Jim, and Hiram, well known citizens of our county. She was a most 
excellent Christian lady, one held in highest esteem by all that knew her. 
Though in bad health for many years, her life was lengthened out to the age of
74. A good, loving mother has gone to her reward in a better world. The 
RECORDER tenders sympathy to the bereaved family. A tribute of respect to her
memory is published elsewhere.
