Fairfield Recorder newspaper - Thursday May 4, 2006 edition Marie (Shelton) Hodge Marie Shelton Hodge, age 86, of Point Enterprise died in her residence on April 28. Born on December 27, 1919 in Cotton Gin, Mrs. Hodge was a homemaker and was a longtime member of Point Enterprise Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Sunday in Point Enterprise Church, Rev. Bruce Rudd and Rev. Dan Franks officiating. Mrs. Hodge is survived by her sister Mildred Shelton McKinney; niece Sheri Shelton Lyon; nephews John McKinney, Wm. Shelton, Jr. and Robert E. Shelton and four great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Grave and Mattie Shelton; husband Clovis Hodge and brothers H. E. (Pete) Shelton and Wm. Shelton, Sr. Pallbearers were John McKinney, Wallace Hamilton, Emmett Speer, William Shelton, Jr., Robert Shelton and Brandon McKinney.
