Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Source: Griffin-Roughton Home website Bobby Holloway Funeral services for beloved husband and father, Bobby Holloway, will be held 10:00 am Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, August 13, 2010 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Mr. Holloway was born September 30, 1930 in Long Lake to Robert E. and Mary Lou Owens Holloway. He married Lola Ben Terry on August 9, 1952. Bobby honorable served in the U.S. Air Force from December 1950-1954 and earned the rank of Staff Sargeant. After service to his country he chose the oil and gas industry as his career. He retired from Mobil Oil in 1986 as manager of overseas purchasing. Upon retirement he served on the Freestone County Farm Bureau Board of Directors and was a member of the Round Prairie Baptist Church. Bobby is preceded in death by his father and mother Robert and Mary Holloway, sister Mary E. Campbell. Mr. Holloway is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lola Ben and children Terri Holloway Steers of Fairfield, Sandra Kay McAdams and husband Robert of Fairfield, Donna Lynn Tucker and husband Bruce of Justin. Mr. Holloway is also survived by grandchildren Robert Clifton Magness of Denver, Colorado, Shannon McAdams of Fairfield, Autumn Tucker Cline and husband Chris of Haslet, Kandace Pickens of Fairfield, Jessica Tucker Evans of Dallas. His great grandchildren Olivia Elise McAdams, Dylan Michelle Pickens and Caden Andrew Pickens. Bobby is also survived by his brother Joe Mack Holloway and wife Fae of Cayuga, his sister Mrs. Addie Jean Haydon of Fairfield, sister Mrs. Neta Eldridge and husband James of Oakwood. Numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Billy Bob Haydon, Gary Chappell, Kevin Holloway, James Robert Eldridge, Sammy McMahon, Roy Casey III, Lynn Kimball.
