Altha Geneva (Pug) Horton

Altha Geneva (Pug) Horton, 84, of Fairfield passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000
at East Texas Medical Center.

Services were 2 p.m. today at Capps Memorial Chapel with Bro. Ed Ridge
officiating. Interment followed at Fairfield Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Steve Black, Jerry Robinson, Blake Robinson, Robert McAdams,
Brad Hicks, Rodney Dodd and Donny Cockrell.

Mrs. Horton was born Jan. 29, 1917 in Wortham. She was a secretary and
bookkeeper and a member of the Round Prairie Baptist Church. She was a Past
Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 331.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Fred Horton; and her parents. 
Mrs. Horton is survived by her sister-in-law, Dessie Pruitt of Midland; nephew
and caregiver John and Ruth Sallee of Tyler; and several other nieces and
nephews. 
Memorials may be made to Gideon's International in memory of Glen Barnes.
