Altho Geneva (Pruitt) Horton

Funeral services were held Thursday for Altho Geneva Horton, 84, of Fairfield
who died December 26, at East Texas Center in Fairfield. Mrs. Horton was born
January 29, 1917 in Wortham and was a retired secretary/bookkeeper. She was a
Past Matron member of order of the Eastern Star Chapter 331, and a member of
Round Prarie Baptist Church. Services were held at Capps Memorial Chapel with
Ed Ridge officiating. Burial was at Fairfield Cemetery. Mrs. Horton is survived
by her sister-in-law, Dessie Pruitt of Midland, nephew and caregiver, John
David Sallee of Tyler, and several nieces and nephews. She was proceded in
death by her husband, Charlie Fred Horton, and her parents, John T. and Hester
Williams Pruitt. Arrangements were made by Capps Memorial Chapel of Fairfield.
