LINDA FRANCES MCADAMS HOUSE

LINDA FRANCES MCADAMS HOUSE, died on 26 November 1999 in Houston, Harris Co., 
Texas. She was born 19 March 1923 in Blooming Grove, Navarro Co., Texas. She
was called Lynne by her closest friends and relatives. She was the fourth 
child of Walter Harvey McAdams and Eula Mae (Orrell). Her older sister, Kate 
Belll McAdams Smith, preceded her in death in 1996. Her maternal grandparents 
were Thomas Newton Orrell and Eliza Cassenda Belle (Crabtree) of Blooming 
Grove, Texas. The paternal grandparents were Thomas Jefferson McAdams and 
Nancy Ann (Vaughan) of Freestone Co., Texas. She married Warthen Bruce House 
on 12 September 1941 in Houston, Harris Co., Texas. When Bruce served in
World War II in the Philippines, Lynne worked as a stenographer in the Houston 
Court House. She worked in Interior Design, for the Houston Public Library 
System, and the House Co. Lynne was a committed Christian and taught 5 yr. old 
Sunday School for many years. She was also talented in crafts, sewing and at
one time a part owner in KatieLynne Enterprises an Antique store. Bruce 
preceded her in death on 19 April 1990. She is survived by her two sons: 
Warthen Royce House and his wife JoAnn A. White, Alan Bruce House and his wife 
Doris Ann Moore and their two children: Aaron and Benjamin. Family will 
receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday November 28, 1999 at J.B. Earthman 
Tanglewood, 5740 San Felipe. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 
1999 at J.B. Earthman Tanglewood, with Rev. W.H. Sakwitz officiating. Private 
family interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
