House, Jessie House, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry McAdams and Children. ---------------------------------------------------- Final Rites For Mrs. C. C. House Held Here, Friday Last rites for-Mrs. C. C. House were held in Teague Friday from the Methodist Church with the Rev. N. B. Crawford, pastor, officiating. Death came suddenly at her home in Teague Thursday. Mrs. House or “Nannie” as she, was affectionately called, was born Daisy Wright, on December 11, in Arkansas, 70 years ago. She moved with her family to a farm near Mexia where she spent her girlhood. In 1897 she married C. C. House; they spent their early married life on a farm near Cotton Gin, moving to Teague in 1922. To this union was born four children, two died in infancy. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Jerry McAdams, of Houston; one son, Jesse House, Teague, who recently returned from India, after three years in the army; and six grandchildren, J. H. McAdams, Jr., who served- in the Navy during the war and Harold McAdams, who served in the Marines; Robert Ray, Earl, Harry and William McAdams, all of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Beulah Jackson of Mexia; and two brothers, Jim and John Wright of Mexia. With Ham funeral home in charge of the arrangements, interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery, Teague. i Pallbearers were: Earl Cain, H. D. Geppert, Bill Prater, Arthur Baldree, A. J. Dunaway, and Johnnie Maggard. Mrs. House was untiring in doing for her sick and discouraged neighbors and friends. She was a good neighbor in every sense of that word, always gracious and kindly, giving of her love and understanding. She had been a member of the Methodist Church since early girlhood. —Contributed.
