Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Frank Housman Frank Housman, 80, of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 in Tyler, Texas. Funeral services were held Monday, November 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Capps Memorial Chapel with Evangelist Don Thornton officiating. Interment followed at Post Oak Cemetery. Frank was born February 18, 1932 in Shreveport, LA; to parents John and Alta Hudson Housman. He was a retired school teacher and taught for 22 years in Killeen, TX and for 20 years in Fairfield. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. Frank was a former member of the Freestone County/Big Cedar Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf until his health started failing. He loved flying ultra light planes and was very devout in his faith and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Richard Schultz, Jeff Hinds, Ralph Brown, Howard Brown, Tony Vasta, and Benny Pillans Left to cherish his memory is his wife Saralynn of Fairfield; six children, John of Grapeland; Diane Schultz and husband Richard of Temple, TX; Kristye Hinds and husband Jeff of Belton, TX; Weldon Weaks and wife Dianna of Fairfield; Joyce Vasta and husband Tony of Troy, TX; Sharon Brown and husband Eddie of Humansville, MO; two brothers, John Housman of Killeen and Fred Housman of Albuquerque, NM; one sister, Tissy; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
