Kuykendall of Teague received the following telegram from Blanche Howell, Clarksville, Tenn. last Friday morning. My brother, Hugh Howell, died Thurs. Feb 7. Mr. Howell sold his fruit stand to T.S. Clark and left here about Jan. 5 for Dallas to spend a few days visiting Miss Howell who has a position with Butler Brothers and wrote to Mr. Kuykendall here during last week. He left Dallas to go to Clarksville, Tenn., his old home to visit relatives and recuperate as he was in ill health and had been for several years. He had some insurance here with the Praetorians in favor Mrs. Howell. He had recently sold all his property here including two residences. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows and has many friends here.
