Freestone County, Texas Obits Amarillo Daily News, Dec. 16, 2000 Area Evelyn G. Hubbard BORGER - Evelyn G. Hubbard, 91, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Fairlanes Baptist Church with the Rev. Chad Chaddick, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors. Mrs. Hubbard was born in Wortham and had lived in Phillips and Borger for the past 61 years. She earned her master's degree at West Texas State Teachers College. A retired music teacher, she taught in Phillips and was the fine arts chairman at Frank Phillips College. She was pianist for Phil-Original and organist and pianist for Phillips First Baptist Church. Mrs. Hubbard was a member of the 20th Century Music Club, Retired Teacher's Association and Fairlanes Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert H. Hubbard, in 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Kuhrt of Borger; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
