Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Pauline Rawls Hughes (February 16, 1919 - March 14, 2007) Pauline Rawls Hughes Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Rawls Hughes were held Friday, March 16, 2007 at 2:00p.m. at the Grace Tabernacle Church in Dew. Bro. Bo Davis officiated. Interment followed the service at Dew Cemetery. Mrs. Hughes was born in Fairfield to Edd and Minnie Evans. She loved to cook for everyone and enjoyed being a caregiver especially to children. She worked for several years for the Mexia State School. She also sold minnows and worms to many area fishermen. She was a loving mother and a good Christian woman. Mrs. Hughes was a member of Grace Tabernacle Church in Dew. She is survived by her children, Barbara Jean Allen & husband E. W. of Dew, Charlotte Chase & husband Beaury of Lorena, Billy J. Hughes & wife Henrietta of Forney & Patsy Carter & husband Buddy of Dew. Grandchildren, Ricky Allen of Dew, Cecil Allen & wife Linda of Tyler, Bryan Allen & wife Stephanie of Mt. Holly, North Carolina, Stacie Bates & husband Randy of Dallas, Terry Carter & wife Michelle of Pasadena & Mark & Kristina Hughes of Forney.
