Pauline Rawls Hughes

Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Rawls Hughes were held Friday, March 16,
2007 at 2:00p.m. at the Grace Tabernacle Church in Dew. Bro. Bo Davis 
officiated. Interment followed the service at Dew Cemetery. Mrs. Hughes was
born in Fairfield to Edd and Minnie Evans. She loved to cook for everyone and
enjoyed being a caregiver especially to children. She worked for several years
for the Mexia State School. She also sold minnows and worms to many area 
fishermen. She was a loving mother and a good Christian woman. Mrs. Hughes was
a member of Grace Tabernacle Church in Dew. She is survived by her children, 
Barbara Jean Allen & husband E. W. of Dew, Charlotte Chase & husband Beaury of
Lorena, Billy J. Hughes & wife Henrietta of Forney & Patsy Carter & husband 
Buddy of Dew. Grandchildren, Ricky Allen of Dew, Cecil Allen & wife Linda of 
Tyler, Bryan Allen & wife Stephanie of Mt. Holly, North Carolina, Stacie Bates 
& husband Randy of Dallas, Terry Carter & wife Michelle of Pasadena & Mark & 
Kristina Hughes of Forney. Great Grandchildren, William Rogers & wife Shauna, 
Mark Rogers & wife Rustyn, Tarin Allen, Craig Allen, Amy Allen, Stacie Allen, 
Brittnay Marberry & Kelly Marberry, Ashley Marberry, Amanda Allen, Joseph 
Allen, Bethany Allen, Dylen Hughes, Sarah Bates & Stephen Bates. Great Great 
Grandchildren, Christian Brett Allen & Chole Rogers; and Special Cargiver, 
Cathy Ethridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edd & Minnie Evans 
and by a sister, Estelle Cadle.

Pauline Rawls Hughes

Funeral services were held Friday, March 16 in Dew for Pauline Rawls Hughes, 88.

Mrs. Hughes was born in Fairfield to Edd and Minnie Evans. She worked for 
several years at the Mexia State School, enjoyed cooking and taking care of 
children, and sold minnows and worms to many area fishermen.

She was a member of Grace Tabernacle Church in Dew.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. at Grace Tabernacle Church, with Bro. Bo
Davis officiating.

Burial was at Dew Cemetery.

Mrs. Hughes is survived by her children, Barbara Jean Allen and husband E.W. of
Dew, Charlotte Chase and husband Beaury of Lorena, Billy J. Hughes and wife 
Henrietta of Forney and Patsy Carter and husband Buddy of Dew; Grandchildren 
Ricky Allen of Dew, Cecil Allen and wife Linda of Tyler, Bryan Allen and wife
Stephanie of Mt. Holly, North Carolina; Stacie Bates and husband Randy of 
Dallas, Terry Carter and wife Michelle of Pasadena and Mark and Kristina Hughes
of Forney; Great-grandchildren William Rogers and wife Shauna, Mark Rogers and
wife Rustyn, Tarin Allen, Craig Allen, Amy Allen, Stacie Allen, Brittnay
Marberry, Kelly Marberry, Ashley Marberry, Amanda Allen, Joseph Allen, Bethany 
Allen, Dylen Hughes, Sarah Bates and Stephen Bates; Great-great grandchildren
Christian Brett Allen and Chloe Rogers; and special caregiver Cathy Ethridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edd and Minnie Evans; and a sister, 
Estelle Cadle.

Arrangements were made by Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.
